The Altar Boys, who form an essential body of any Church, represent the devotion of the church they belong to. Chavara Church also has an extremely active and devout group of Altar Boys. Their young hands always ready to assist the priest on the altar, they wear white robes, which are their uniforms, expressing a different genre of devotion altogether.
The duties of the Altar Boys include regularly assisting the priest during the Qurbanas, compulsorily attending the Mass on Sundays and on special occasions like Christmas, Easter etc. In order to plan the various activities carried out by the Altar Boys and to strengthen the feeling of unity among them, regular meetings are conducted, which are presided over by the Parish Priest.
The folded palms of the Altar Boys truly guide every soul present in the Church to see the deeper meaning of the actions of Jesus Christ being commemorated on the altar.
